DEATH ANGEL

Death Angel and Eindhoven have a long history. This band, founded in 1982 (!) – in the original line-up partly cousins of each other and still in their early adolescence – has been playing in Eindhoven with great regularity for the past 40 years, including several times at Dynamo Open Air (the first time in 1990). The first three albums of this progressive band have become downright classics in that period, but the albums after that are also absolutely worthwhile. Together with Exodus, Testament, Lååz Rockit, Forbidden and Vio-lence (the forerunner of Machine Head), Death Angel forms the vanguard of the so-called ‘Bay Area Thrash’ premier league: melodic thrash that makes for excellent fun in the circle and mosh pits. Kill as one!
