With their recently released album Post Apocalyptic Depression, the German duo Mantar (Turkish for “mushroom”—wonder what that could be referring to?) generates a sonic hell of black metal, sludge, and post-grunge, with hints of psychedelia, doom, and industrial. Fans of Melvins, Motörhead, and Darkthrone will go wild.
